BRONTE REAL ESTATE

Let me be the first to welcome you to Bronte, a wonderful lakeside community in the heart of the "Golden Horseshoe" in Oakville making up much of the west end of Oakville. Twelve Mile Creek, which is known more informally as Bronte Creek, flows through the middle of Bronte and empties into Lake Ontario.

Bronte is made up of three distinct areas:

  • The Village itself, which is home to many condo and townhome developments which many seniors find desirable;
  • Large selection of older, large lot detached homes surrounding the village (between Third Line and Burloak and south of Rebecca to Lake Ontario) and;
  • The newer development of Lakeshore Woods (located at the most westerly point of Oakville, stretching from Rebecca Street to Lakeshore Road West). Lakeshore Woods is a trendy newer development of single family homes and townhomes.

Boundaries

  • East = Third Line Road
  • West = Burloak Drive
  • North = Rebecca Street
  • South = Lake Ontario

Main roads include:

Bronte Road (north-south), Lakeshore Road West which runs parallel to Lake Ontario and Rebecca Street (both east-west).

Other main roads include Third Line, Speers Road and Burloak Drive to the west (the latter was named after the boundary of Burlington and Oakville.)

Streets in the business section include:

Lakeshore, Jones, Marine, and Ontario Street.

Bronte is also accessed via the QEW located to the north of the former village.
